About Us

We compete mainly in American Parliamentary Debate (APDA), though some people on our team also do British Parliamentary Debate. More information about APDA can be found here, along with some example videos.

Absolutely not! We welcome people of all experience levels, and will help you learn about debate and grow as a public speaker. We currently do not have a tryout process, but maintain one of the most competitively successful teams on the league. If you want, just join us to learn & hang out, no pressure to compete!

We attend a variety of tournaments hosted by colleges across the East Coat and Mid-West. We are at a different university almost every weekends, with plenty of opportunities to see new places!

No! We are lucky enough to have enough support from GW to be able to pay for all travel and tournament costs, and tournaments offer food while the tournament is running. The only potential cost is food on the road.
